New Bike Suggestion

I'm looking to get a newer bike (probably not brand new) but something that won't kill me for insurance. I'm riding a heavy, underpowered`01 Bandit 600 right now and insurance is dirt cheap. I want at least a 750 but something that's got lower insurance. Any ideas? I heard ninjas are notorious for high premiums.

Bandit 750? A friend of mine bought a Katana 750 motor off Ebay and dropped it in his B6's frame. Saved a ton of $$$ and had the satisfaction of creating something.
