Another new guy

Hmmmm where to start, where to start... well I like walks on the beach, sunsets... oh wait not that kinda site...

Ok, a little about me;
My name is Terry Embury and I used to own a parts business in Phoenix called Hi-Side Racing, hence the moniker.

Today was my first track day after being off for 5 years. It was awesome. It was at GrandSport Raceway and the Groove Union guys do a great job. Everyone was very friendly and very helpful. I was on the blue/white #161 YZ450 motard. I just got the bike together and had never ridden it and hadn't been on the track in a touch over 5 years.

I guess a little background is in order now.
I moved from Phoenix to Dallas 5 years ago as I was moving up with my career. That job took way too much of my time and I sold my race bike and I haven't been back on a bike on the track until today. I moved to Houston about 2 months ago.

I raced for 10 years based out of Phoenix. I raced with WERA and CCS all over Californa, Nevada, Arizona as well as Daytona, VIR, and Barber. I was also with the California Superbike School as an instructor for 3 years and worked with both track organizations in Phoenix as one of the lead instructors. I'm definitely not that fast any more, but its starting to come back.

Anyway, it was alot of fun and I expect I'll be doing alot more in the near future. Met some great people today and hope to meet more of you shortly.
