modify race fairings???

i like how the race fairings come pretty much in just 2 pieces instead of having like 6 pieces of the main bodywork that i i was wondering if anyone here has converted race fairings to street ones by cutting out holes for the headlights. i realize theres better options..but i was goin for less pieces to take off and replace should something happen.

its possible. Ive read somewhere to cut out the headlight hole, cover the whole lens with blue painters tape, trim the outline of the headlight, remove the painters tape in one piece, stick it on the nose of the new fairing(measuring to find center of course), then cutting it out with a dremel. you can do the same for the taillight. Ive never personally tried this method, but seems to work in theory.

heres a website that sells brand new fairings and street fairings with the holes already cut out. im sure they can answer any questions you have:
