Glad you're ok. I was rearended a few weeks back. The guy's front bumper got wedge inbetween the rear tire and the rear seat. The exhaust was bent up a little but the bike and me stayed up right cause we were pinned between the road and the car that was on top of the back of the bike.

Very glad to hear you're ok though.

I've thought about this very same thing. at least u can "brace" for impact
Bracing for impact is what can really get you hurt. Why do you think that drunks always seem to survive terrible crashes. The best thing to do before an impact is to be thinking and reacting about a billion miles an hour and be loose. I know, easier said than done..... but seems to come naturally with ADHD (crashed at 25, 40, and 55, and to this point have yet to collect more than couple of scratches (full gear of course FTW!!!))

I didn't think about checking that, but it is a good call. Hopefully thats the reason the bike isn't coming on.

Hope you're all taken care of quickly. Sorry to hear about your accident. And I'm sorry to hear it was another members mom who hit you. She must feel awful - especially since her son rides.

this is hindsight, but if i ever get into a fender bender where the other party is responsible, i would call their insurance the second they give you the insurance card. just because they have the card does not necessirly (sp) mean they have insurance. police dont verify for you either.

glad to hear you are okay though. the bike will get repaired and hopefully with newer and better parts.

lil bro is a LEO so he is gonna help me get that taken care of

you screwed up.
being a leo doesnt help police reports get written and such all of a sudden.
Him being a leo doesnt make your testimony honest.
ALWAYS get a police report

The lady called her insurance company and told them the truth about what happened that she was at fault so even though I didn't call the cops it still turned out fine.

not at all bashing you, take this from I am assuming an older guy than you.
Your woes have only just begun. Her insurance company will definately change her story if there is no proof otherwise.
Your only saving grace is:
its hard to say your wrong while just sitting there and get rear ended.
and
they (her insurance) will probably consider themselves lucky your not bringing medical costs and fees into this and they may settle quickly because of it.
believe me, there is an open door for free medical check-up and make sure you didnt screw anything in your neck and or back up that will come back and haunt you. they know it, they will not offer it.
