please do not pay attention to "bikerboyz" posts, by the way whats up with having the coolest bike got anything to do with respect? never mind back to the point.......... take msf. first then worry about the bike later. go to the dealersand sit on each bike to see which one you like, but i highly recommend a used bike, actually don't even wry about a new bike since it seems like you have no idea about bikes, go use.

Can't wait to see your gear change!!

Oh, is it green on SV?
I didn't know that.

Yeah, black on gixxer.
It's an after market part.

ya im pretty sure the sv came stock with green unless you changed it, as of the 03 and up they come with blue, not much of a diff in power between the two though so its not a big deal

2nd gen has about extra 5 from fuel injection.
Yeah, carbed bikes don't match very well with powerband...
Maybe I should stop thinking about getting an aftermarket part for SV...

That's the truth, just go on a few night rides with these local groups and you will see lots of cool bikes just need some better riders. Or go to the local salvage yard lot's full of what used to be really cool bikes again just needed better riders.
I'm no pro by far but I did start on a 600cc bike "94 cbr F2" and worked my way through the ranks gaining experience and more power with each bike. 5 bikes later 4 of which was 600cc bikes I"m still learing every time I get on the bike. Just start slow and don't be in a hurry to look so cool with all the other guys that "think" they know everything there is to know about riding.
I now own a 2005 R1 and yes I'm learning all over again after 16 years of riding.
While your looking at all the cool bikes check out all the cool gear that will save your when you crash the first time. Helmet, gloves, 1 or 2 piece suit, boots, Sorry to say but sooner or later you will need it.
