Not exactly a cartoon, but it did have animations in it. My favorite was the stick figure guy that you couldn't understand. lol That show was way ahead of it's time. The dude had a little portable media player with what looked like a compact flash card. All fake of course, I mean, this was like 1981.

Found the opening clip: http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...39261493309063

"cuz NO Guh-News, is GOOD Guh-News with Gary Guh-noo. (Gary GNU) Ahh.. Good times..

Funny excerpt from Wikipedia...
Quote:
The Great Space Coaster was fairly popular in its day, and was merchandised with Goriddle Gorilla and Gary Gnu plush dolls, among other toys. But ratings began to slip a few years in, which the producers tried to correct by bringing in new characters like the Huggles and Rory. The show is no longer seen in syndication and isn't available on DVD, giving it a somewhat legendary status among those who grew up in the '80s. (Many people have strong memories of the show, but don't recall the title and are half convinced they imagined the whole thing.) The show was quite innovative for its time, and is still occasionally referenced in pop culture today (as in 2006 episode of Family Guy that included the show's trippy opening title sequence.)
Edit/Update: Found a couple of clips of the animation.

And the only show clip I could find.

Ahhh good times... gooooood times..
