idle speed

I was just curious what my idle speed should be on my bike. It is about 1000-1400. It runs great and starts great, but when it idles for more than 5 minutes it will cut out if I gas the throttle hard. But if I do it slowly then it wont cut off. Just curious if any one has any ideas? Thanks guys

sounds like its cloged up... put a can of sea foam through it!!! and then start using lucas fuel injector cleaner every few tanks of gas..... if the can of sea foam doesnt clear it up then u need to replace plugs and clean carbs fully. also depending on bike it could have a fuel filter cloged. lmk if u need help and we can get u fixed up

Thanks, I tried to change the spark plugs but didnt realize that you needed a special wrench to get them out, I am ordering the part right now. I went ahead and changed the air filter and the bike seems to run fine but I didnt ride it to long. I may bring it up to Motorcycles Unlimited and have them check it out. Thanks guys
