OH MY !

So I take my bike to get some coffee this morning and come home and park my park by my door at my condo. I come down 20 minutes later and the contractor who was prepping the pool fence for paint splattered solvent all over my gas tank, swingarm, exhaust, and tail. My bike is F***** up. Just got off the phone with my mechanic and it is going to cost 6-7k to fix it. Thankfully he has insurance but now I have to ship it to New Braunfels to get it fixed and I'm without a bike during the best riding season of the year. it!

take the contractors insurance check, deposit into savings, and ride the bike as it is and repair it in the fall if you're that worried about missing the "best season of the year". If you care more about cosmetics, suck it up and take it in. Sorry that happened, it bamboozles me how careless some people are with other peoples belongings. Hope your repair shop can get it back to tip top shape!!!

Thats what I was wondering about. $6k-$7k?
Is that replacing everything that solvent touched? Like, new swingarm, wheels, tire, bodywork, etc?

Yes everything that was touched has to be replaced. It is all stained really badly. Was going to ship it to New Braunfels cuz that is the only good Aprilia mechanic I know. I may give Eximport a try but they have screwed up a couple of jobs for me. The tank alone is $2500. Swingarm $1,200. Tail $500. Exhuast $1,500. Maybe an OZ rim $1,200. Seat $200. Labor is probably $6-700.
