how does sprocet pitch affect the bike?

Sprocket?
I think its referring more to the pitch of the chain, but correct me if I'm wrong guys.

520 is a lighter chain, used for smaller bikes, and on bigger bikes as a racing application

525 is generally the norm, for most bike/for street use.

530 generally for liter bikes which puts alot of stress on the chain.

my $0.02 is if you are not racing, just stick with the stock size.

you can play with changing the number of teeth, though. generally most people put -1 tooth up front and +2 teeth on the rear for a little extra acceleration.
