Just so you get accurate responses...
Are you refering to the Ride Smart (Racing/Street) or the Pro (Full Race DOT)?

You'll be very happy with the Ride Smart's. I've run them and I love the performance. If you are aggressive on the street, and I mean really aggressive, they will wear pretty quickly. But the grip level is great. John runs some great specials on them. Be sure to talk to him before you buy.

I would think the lesser or the two. I'm looking at them on motorcycle superstore, they are pretty cheap, and it sounds like a good tire

John mounts the tires cheap, cheap, cheap. Give him a call before you buy.

True story. I've never had a place be able to match his tire prices, much less provide the mounting service for next to nothing

If you murder dem streets they will be worth it. If not stick with the BT016s. Im planning on getting 1800-2000miles out of my BT003RS. I just need them to last 3 TDs, hopefully I can do that before the middles wear out

Can anyone compare the BT003RS to the BT016s for street riding?
Which will last longer?

AJ, is this 1.8-2k on track/street combined? That's not much at all if it is.
I'd also like to get a good 5k street tire and those 2 (^^^) look like good candidates.

I'd say BT016 for that, at least that was what I was told. And I got one on the back of the SV and no complaints so far. BT002 up front

I believe he does shipping super cheap since he's not mounting them as well, if you weren't down for the ride/drive

The BT016 will outlast the BT003RS easy, on the street. It won't out-grip it though.
BT016 = great street tire, ok track tire.

He has spoken!

BT016 are great street duty tires. Even some of the faster racers use em on the streets.

And Helios Im not kidding about hoping to get 1800-2000 miles out of the middle of the tire.

I have not ran a BT016 yet and probably will do it in the offseason for street use, but I did run a 2ct which is comparable. Got about 4k out of the rear and offered plenty of traction on the street, and I was not even close to out running them on the street. Heck I wasnt even close to out running them on the Track. The only reason I run the 003RS now is because I wanted more traction out of a tire for the track.

I've got my Tripometer set as soon as I put the 003RS on. Let's see how long they last.

I've had my 16 for probably 1td and 5k miles on it and I went to bastrop this weekend, and I'm a fairly aggressive rider so they last long, but I defiantly want to try at the 003RS

Pachuco, sorry for the threadjack, hope the additional info helps you too. I had been wondering about the 003rs for a while myself now, but had heard the 016s were great street tires from many ppl. Thanks for the input guys.
