I watched an extension ladder fall off the top of a work van one Saturday morning while traveling east on I 10 nearing Hwy 6 from Katy. Glad I was in my truck. I'll bet that ladder did some serious damage to whoever hit it!

A better idea would be to call the local police department and inform them. Prob help alot more people to alert someone to get it off the road.

Incorrect. Police officers are sent out to road hazards and debris in the road calls all the time.

And last time I checked they are paid to serve and protect, and pulling a ladder out of the roadway off to the shoulder out of the way of drivers is PROTECTING drivers from a serious accident.

Anytime I see a vehicle with a ladder on it I just assume that it may come off at anytime. Never encountered one already laying in the road.

I watched a ladder fall off of a van on I-45, then a car in that lane swerved to miss, the tailgater who had just switched to ride his bumper from mine smashed straight into it, catch it under his car and drag it a ways to the shoulder. Oh frabjous day, no one got hurt and the dumb @ss cleared the road of the obstruction.

If you would have asked me where you saw a truck like that my VERY FIRST answer would have been Hooters.
