Using your clutch less. pro's and con's

I have recently bought a bike and new to the street. I use to ride dirt a lot as a younger kid. I have always used the clutch on the dirt. Recently I have started getting away from the clutch all together while moving. Is there any harm being done vs. using the clutch? I bet clutches are less expensive than gears. Also, don't you shift quicker and everything w/o the clutch? Opinions?

im same as above... i dont use clutch after 1st (most of the time). I heard it didnt really damage anything

but if ur that worried about it... a quick shifter is only a $150-200 (give or take a lil) mod...

i grew up racing/ riding dirt bikes and i'm just used to using a clutch. so 100% of the time for me. I know people that don't after first and don't have any problems though.

I am also learning to wheelie. If you are going to ride it, you must shift w/o clutch yeah?

note taken, but I need to learn to get it up!(not the dirty way) I've been told to rev it up and pop the clutch but that just seems a bit scarey. I would like to ease into it but I think I am gonna have to jump into it.
