paniro187, I think maybe you miss my point, all I'm saying is you need not fear the end/death it will find you when it is your time, whatever your doing and where ever you are. I hope to be doing something I enjoy, with people I enjoy and in a place I enjoy and not fear it. I don't want to spend my life in a box, in a coccoon. I'm not suggesting that anyone live their lives making dumb choices and taking unwarrented risks. It would be stupid of me to go sky diving without a chute but with one I am taking a risk that is acceptable to me.

So maybe you don't understand my mindset or I don't communicate it very well or you live in a coccoon either way I try and live my life to the fullest.

Back to the subject of this post, yes it is very sad and my heart goes out to his family and yes sobering. It makes me think about the risks and makes me cautious, and I thank racer x for sharing it with me/us.

I know, because I am the same way. Not to say either of us are angels or perfect "do it all right" every time, but we (as well as most of the OG's) get tired of all the RIP threads. That and everyone trying to justify how they ride, even though they know it is reckless and dumb.

If you lose someone close to you that rides, and it DOESN'T hit home hard and make you stop and think and wake up a bit, then I AM sorry.
+1. Someone needs to say it and not sugar coat it.

After Meaner and my wreck a couple of months ago my whole mentality about riding has changed. It's a dangerous place out there. Especially when there's traffic involved. But also when there is no traffic involved and you are on a back road tearing it up. I think you can substantially increase your risk of getting injured or killed.

I'm always cringing wondering who is going to be in the next RIP thread.

Sorry about your friend. May he rest in peace.

Sorry about your friend, Ed.
It's very easy to forget how fast your world can get turned upside down.

If you don't care about yourself, thats one thing, but at least think about the ones you're gonna leave behind.
