New Laws Going into Effect

Here are some new traffic laws about to go into effect. It seems to me that the new motorcycle related law SB1967 seems to be a little backwards.

Here is a quote from the DPS statement:

'The law also increases the penalty for failure to yield the right-of-way if there is a crash that results in injury to a person other than the motorcycle operator.'

This seems to disregard injury to a motorcycle rider and is geared toward increased penalties if a rider injures someone in a car (or maybe if the motorcycle operator injures their motorcycle passenger).
