i got 2800 miles on the rear and 5200 miles on the front and was running stock pirelli supercorsa, then i switch to corsa 3 and it lasted for 3500 miles on the rear....

Why are the track pressures lower for the 160 than the 180??

#2. The tire construction is completely different. 160/60 is a triple compound, the 180/55 is a dual compound.
#3. The bikes that run the 160 typically are very light. Lowering the pressure adds contact patch without the negative effects of over flexing the tire.

Small correction to #2, they are both triple compound tires, with different belting.

ive got about 7k miles on my 6r and im on my second set replacement rears, BT021s, due to nails in the road and road hazard protection just replaced the front stock BT016 at 6400 miles because it was getting a little bald. all street driving though no track days
