I have a friend that offered to sell me a 99(i think) Suzuki GSF1200s (partial fairing) for 1300 dollars.tires are decent. with i think was 40k miles on it. needs carb rebuild kit(floaters stuck), gas cap and brake lever. its got a Vortex?? exhaust (didnt think they made exhaust) its the dark burgundy red color. looks to be in very good condition on the outside. its a big bike. i was thinkin of getting it for commuting to and from work and keeping the R6 as a track bike. i would look at getting rid of the partial fairing and getting a naked bike set up/headlight for it.
so what yall think?
i think this makes him look human. you always get people thinking they soooooo perfect, well your not. at least Obama was cool enough to be himself. thats why i look up to him, he's like an average black male but with intelligence. -Actual Quote from a Barack Obama supporter

Not so much a "behemoth". Comfortable, mucho torque, and lotsa potential.
A wise man once told me: "No matter how fine she is, just remember. Somewhere, someone is tired of her !"

Experience: 10+ years
420 Honda Rancher ATV
I had a 03 1200S
Bought new in 04 and put 36K on it parted with it in 08.
Strong running bike , relatively easy to work on.
K&N filter or Airbox mods did not work well with stock exhaust.
But K&N, Yosh Slip on and 110 jets with an 1 inch extra hole in the stock air box it ran real good. I also went form 15/45 gearing to 15/43
Runs on regular unless you go with a 5 degree advance , which yeilded no noticeable gain and pings a little on the low end without premium.
I have read that pre 2002 models may burn oil due to the pistion skirt design, this was changed on the 03, I had no oil problems, but I do not know if this issue was present in 99.
Changing the bike form partial faring to naked may not be that easy.
This is a one forty five plus bike the faring is kind of nice over one thirty.
Also check out www.holeshot.com for after market.
Mine was a great bike.
