Thanks for the reply. Built this one to keep and building a 900f now. Let me work on showing the build. Started this from bare frame Thanksgiving 2017. Almost a year ago. Been a fun and learning adventure.

Talking

In October 17 I started out wanting to just clean up the bike and get it running. Since I am in the paint and body business I thought I would just paint the frame. After starting that I decided since I am dismantling everything I may as well do it right. So I sent the frame to Tim at Conroe Powder Coating. Picture of the frame before I sent it out to him. Half painted because I took the back apart and painted it and was going to put it back together then do the front. Just a waste of time but the start of a real classic.

This is the bike as I purchased it. Motor was rattle canned along with parts of the frame. Top was off the motor and cams removed. Was told that the op was going to replace the valve seals but was not trusting that after looking everything over.

Day before Thanksgiving I picked up the frame from Conroe Powder coating. Tim did a very nice job. Would recommend him for any powder coating needed at a fair price.

LOOKS great, in my early years of riding...I had a buddy with an 83 CB900f and a 79 CB750 and he'd let me ride on occasion. the 4 into 1 Kerker pipes sounded good.

You did a nice job on the resto! Those white wheels make it pop!

Thanks dbuck. I actually bought an 81 cb 750f first. Then the 1100f. Couldn't help but fill the gap and get the 82 900f which is in the starting phase of restoration.

Next on my list was to start on the painting. I had an extra 82 900f tank in good shape so stripped the tank to bare and started from scratch. seemed like the thing to do since it is 36 years old.

After mocking up the roller in stock form I was not happy with the small tires that the wheels carried. This is when I decided to change things up and go with a 92-94 f2 front forks and wheels that would accept at least up to a 170 rear tire to get a little better look and larger forks. Picture is stock mock up.

Found front and rear F2 wheels in nice shape. Took apart and powder coated pearl white to match the paint work

Wheels came out just as I wanted but the front fender for the f2 looks like total so I decided to buy a vf1000r front fender and get a custom fender bracket made. To do this will require grinding the fender mounts off. Not a problem since I will be rebuilding the forks with race tech suspension in the front. Then powder coat for final finish.

Rough cut on the fender mounts and completed forks with the custom fender mount.

Love the restomods done on these.

I never rode one but the CB1100F has always been one of my favorite bikes aesthetically speaking.

Nice job.
