Best tattoo shop around houston?

I know some people on here have some tats so maybe you can help. Im looking for a very well respected shop in the houston area. I want a half sleeve dedicated to my dad who was killed last Christmas so this is gonna mean alot to me and I want it done right. Im in the SE side so if theres one close to here that would be great.

I manage one where myself and Rawrie work called Article 91. A few people on this board have gotten some from here.

But there are quite a few good shops in the S/Houston area. A lot depends on what you want done. Color, Portrait, Black & Gray, etc..?

I dont want color right now, It was a tat my dad designed for him that was just black. Its kinda like a tribal, but its perfectly asymetrical. It has a cross in the middle that he always wore but was lost in accident, and my initials. everything on the left side that was black is just the opposite on the right. So im wanting the same design but have my initials changed to his and some how incorporate his birth to death somewhere in there. i will try to scan the page he drew so you can get an idea and maybe you can help me make the changes i want to it to make it mine

I got one in NY (dont think you want to travel that far) and the other at Shaw. I am happy with the work Shaw did, but they charge a little more than other shops.

I plan on going to Sniper's shop for the next one.

Yeah i would have gotten this one earlier back in Beaumont from a place called tattoo mainia, Its own ran by same nationally known tattoo artist and his son, I know the older guys name was GILL but not sure of his son but they wanted 1k for one about the size of my hand, that didnt look like it could take more than 3 hours so i left. But they had abunch of articles from magazines that had them in it from all over

You guys roll in and say you're from the MH, we'll treat you well.

But if you're looking for Black & Gray work, I have an awesome artist named Remo who does excellent work.

Not really so in the tattoo world. Ive seen plenty of crappy tattoos that the artist overcharged on. So because you pay out the doesnt mean your ink will be the shizzy.

Research the tattoo artists and shops, guys. Travel around and find a place you're comfortable in. This is a big decision to have something on your body for the rest of your life. Dont look for the place that charges the cheapest. Would you accept surgery from the cheapest doctor?

I45 Ink is a great shop with good artists. Nate Beavers is out of the shop, though I think he ended up opening his own. His appointment list was 4 months long last time I checked.

True....

Seriously look at the artists portfilio. See how he works, watch him work on other people. Look at the fresh work done and the lines.
Sniper we will be in around 3-330. My son want to look at some jewelry. Probably be in the cage. You going to be there?
