i need generator help
well, i have a 7500/7000 (peak/regular) watt generator, and i'm having some trouble with it. i runs like a top - the motor. no problems or complaints. when i first start it up, it runs and produces electricity, but after about 15 minutes or so of running, it stops making electricity and starts jumping between 0 and ~50 on the volt meter.
does anybody work at or run a generator repair shop? i need some help getting this bad boy back up and running. it's at a buddies shop right now, but he's saying it's probably a bad rotor, and says his company wants ~$250-300 to fix it. i bought it brand new for ~$750. if i can get the part(s) needed, i'm pretty confident in being able to swap out the new ones for the bad ones...
lemme know... if you can fix it, i'll buy the beer while we fiddle with it. PM me and we'll figure something out. thanks y'all!
