Hey if she stays in Florida I will more than likely stay friends with you just to give you grief about letting a good woman get away.

As Keith said, some portions of these roads are very technical and can sneak up on you very quickly. I've been on the 3 Sisters Loop and surrounding roads over a dozen times in the past 10 years. I actually rode out there Labor Day weekend and can report that all the roads are in good condition (Hwy16, FM470, FM187, RR337, RR336) 336 has a bit of construction closer towards 41, so keep your distance with riders in front of you as to avoid rocks shooting up from sticky tires. Was not able to ride RR335, and Hwy55 but I'd imagine they're okay.

Be aware of radar traps anywhere low speed in town (which you should be going the speed limit there anyway) also on RR337 just before you reach 187 in Vanderpool, and also on FM470 in Tarpley. You guys are going to have a blast, and hopefully the weather will cooperate.

Im definitely in for this ride, I used to ride the sisters every weekend, I can confirm that 337 between Medina and Vanderpool almost ALWAYS has one or two cops under a tree along the road looking for speeders

Like everyone else who has already mentioned it, 337 and 16 right outside Kerrville gets VERY technical and are common places for accidents, to anyone who is a beginner or never ridden twisty roads outside of the Houston area, take extreme caution

very excited for this ride, and very excited to see you guys over here in the hill country! Ill probably ride out there soon to get re-familiarized with the area

We have had lots of rain and flooding in the Hill Country in the past two weeks. Lots of roads out there will have wash (loose & rocks) gravel on them for the next few weeks I will make a run out probably next weekend to look the area over

Are you taking that Husky 701 in your profile pic? If so (and u can ride) those twistys is where your bike will shine! The long straights to get there not so much

Also not sure of your fuel range but u may require some spare gas or a siphon.

I have stops along the way that are no longer than 50 or 60 miles so everyone is safe. The key is to gas at every stop.

I think youíve missed the point here or either i did. Out in the hill country there arent fuel stops every mile. Usually its 50 or 60 miles between towns so we stop at each town to get fuel.

Ya that'd be the bike I take
Haven't ran it to 'E' yet but i seem to go 150 miles or so before the light comes on, most of that isn't high RPM tho but I think it'd be able to do 100 miles without any issue.

I will say sober me is really having a hard time committing to that drive. Coming from baytown and google maps has me at 4.5 hours to Ingram. Add in a stop for fuel/ and driving through houston and san antonio on a friday night I'm guessing this is at least a 5.5 hour trip one way.

Sorry if i missed it but, what time are you guys meeting up on sat morning?
Room for trailer parking?
Am i able to put my bike inside the room? (sorry, paranoid)
Am i the only one that would show up with a 1 piece

Not much I miss about CA, but not having to drive 5 hours to hit some twistys is def one of them.

Thanks guys
