What a day.
It was super hot, but seems like everyone had a blast. Very few get offs in all levels and the day seemed to go really smooth. Hats off to all you who attended, and managed to get through the entire day. As always, we are interested in your opinions, so post them up and let us know how the day went for you. Thank you for deciding to join us at Cresson. Take care. |

Dude! It was soooooooooo freaking hot! My truck read 112 degrees when I got in it to leave.
![]() But the day was great, nonetheless. I spent the day working on learning the track in the ooposite direction in preparation for the CMRA race in 2 weeks. I really like the flow of the track CW. I need to find a few seconds somewhere to run where I'd be satisfied in the novice races, but I think I can find them. It waas good to see some of the houston guys there. ![]() The day went smooth and if I am not mistaken Dave had to give away some money for the different levels. Ridesmart gives away $100 if no one in your level crashes. I know that after the 3pm session there were no crashes in level 1, 3 and 4. ![]() ![]() Thanks Ridesmart for another well ran day and thanks Dave for running CW for the racers. I know that I, in my not so serious racing life, appreciated it...I can only imagine how much the dedicated racers did. See yall next weekend at ECR! |

A BIG thanks to Ty and Joe for the lines and critique. The school is a must if your new to a track or just wanting to polish up your riding skills, in my case identifying bad habits and geting rid of em.Besides the crazy heat the day went by smooth with no one getting hurt. Thanks Dave@RideSmart/Ty Howard School for hosting the event

thanks Dave and Ridesmart. talk about a controlled grid with a nice cap on the amount of people. there was plenty of space out on the track even on a SOLD OUT event! i have had negative comments about Ridesmart in the past, and the past few events I have been proven WRONG everytime!!!! Ridesmart has made huge improvements with their trackday school and i'm happy to say they are doing it just PERFECTLY. everything was organized and went along smoothly. Thanks again Dave.
thanks also to Ty Howard, Joe Prussiano, and Chris Hunt for a very informative class. anybody on the fence about taking Ty Howard's class should do it. I'm not the fastest guy on the track, but I would consider myself decently fast. Even at my level, there was still room to learn, and Ty showed me a few things that helped tremendously. It was my first time out at Cresson going CW, and thanks to Ty, I ran consistent 1:25's on my SV650. I'm hoping to get down to 1:22 come race day. |

Always good instruction in Ty's class and always improving.
That Moto GP video he compiled of body position, breaking and roll-ons was cool. He studies what he teaches. The last session Ty went out with Chris and Ricky Jordon and did some race pace laps. Amazing to see how close they rode to each other at that speed. There is bike cam footage from them. It will be posted on YouTube. |

Early in the day I got passed in a flash. As the bike passed me and I saw that it was a yellow R6..I was like " NO!!!" but then as he completed the pass, I saw "Howard" on the back of his jersey and felt better about being passed liek I was on a big wheel. ![]() There was another dude riding that same bike. |
