Valette at Hospital Crashes our Family Car

Monday morning we go to get our car from valet and the head attendant tells up the driver when parking it had an accident.

We took photos and filled out the paperwork right then. I got a itemized written estimate from Sterling McCall Toyota this morning. $3,600 and now the valet insurance company is unhappy with the high estimate and is sending their own adjuster over to assess and take photos. Really

I just want my truck fixed. How in the did the valet smash the front so hard the door now rubs on the quarter panel and the alignment is way off from the front tire banging on something. He was parking it in a parking garage, why was he going 40 - 45 in a garage????

I have a bad feeling the valet insurance is going to try to screw me and refuse to pay to have it fixed.....

Done with session.

wtf?!!!! . don't let them you over

I just got off the phone with enterprise rental car. read the contract carefully when you get a rental. salesman told me it was 18 a day for their extra insurance. what he failed to mention that is was 18 a day. they tried hitting me with a 200 charge and I came un--glued. hung up on the dumb at that location cause she told me "I should have read the contract". I called corporate and they are fixing it for me and is going to talk to the kid who did my paperwork.

on a side note, star toyota on gulf freeway did my work to my challenger. they did a great job

I thought so too...however, parts alone $2,000 (bumper, bumper brackets quarter panel, fender flairs) and at $84 per hour labor and 33 hours according to their shop manuel...$1,600 labor.

I don't care if Sterling McCall & the insurance work out a deal. I just want to have my car fixed.

Stay tuned

Your insurance should pay for the repairs and they should go after the Valet's insurance. Why with all that...that's what you pay them for.

Nope, but I still wouldn't do that because sometimes its considered a CLAIM against you. I would call them and advise them what is happening in case his ins co wants to pull a fast one, you can have your agent on speed dial...

lol, man, did you mistype this or am I just retarded? Other than the "" both of those sound like the exact same thing - $18 per day of rental for the insurance.

3,600 seems legit, coming from a stealership.

That's pretty up that they are giving you trouble about this, You should report them asap. I hope you can get things sorted out. GL

correct and you get to choose where you have it repaired, so I dont give a rats if he gets an estimate 2,000 cheaper, if the dealership says 3.8k then so be it, I would want it repaired by my dealership....and thats a cost of them doing business and letting mr. bean park their cars. em in the neck and get it repaired where you want.
