Good times, and a huge turnout!

I heard there were some mishaps on Hunt Rd. Might be a good idea to consider avoiding that road on future routes with larger groups of mixed level riders. That road is very narrow and bumpy, not very forgiving and not to be ridden fast at all. Although not as fun, you can take the (safer) straight route through Simonton.

Yup...

A few of us were talking about the potential. I was zooming around on the kids pit bike and noticed quite the mix of personalities and what looked like some under inflated tires. T-shirts and sneakers always a giveaway on what type of pace that is required.

Slooooooooooow

I went off the culvert into the bar ditch on the last curve on Hunt, I was trying to keep up with the beasts and entered the turn too fast. The last turn has a lot of brush in front of it so it is hard to tell how sharp it is. I think besides entering the corner too fast I also let off the front brake when my back tire started getting squirrelly. I had a blast and got to ride hard with someone talented riders, many thanks to the guys I rode with.

Welcome to MH! Hope you faired okay. Perhaps a trackday is in your future to learn and progress your capabilities in a safer, closed course environment

We're just glad you're ok. Bike parts are cheap compared to human parts.

Thank, I am planning on riding in the next one. Definitely need to train my brain to stay on the front brakes and not let off when I my back tire gets squirrelly.

Gary is busy going through over 2500 photos. He'll be selecting down to around 300-350 or so. He and I will go over them together to see which will be processed and adjusted. I'll post as soon as I know!

How many people crashed on Hunt Rd? I was behind the guy on the GSXR that lost it.

If something bad happens it's always the fault of Marquez. The Yamaha Electronics suck this year because of Marquez. Ducati can't quite come in first this year because of Marquez. Lorenzo stunk it up for the first 3/4 of the season because of Marquez. Kawasaki can't build a legit MotoGP bike because of Marquez. Aprilia's Engines & Transmissions like to blow up because of Marquez. Suzuki is a wannabe in the sport bike realm because of Marquez. Pedrosa is retiring because of Marquez. I can't wear a Shoei helmet because of Marquez. Alpinestar wishes they could make Leathers like Dainese or Spidi because of Marquez..

And the #1 thing that is Marquez fault.... It's his fault than honda has not made a proper street/race bike since 2004.. Instead the dress up a sport touring bike and call it a CBR.. If Marquez didnt cost so much maybe they could afford an R&D department instead of re-dressing the same bike for the past 14 years..

My understanding is that there used to be a Cycle Bash once a month. They called it the MH Central Meet.

Think we have it twice a week.. It's called "weekend extravaganza" or something weird like that... Whatever Morganator wants to call it that week..
