Hard for me to qualify it on the scale, but I'd say 5 or less. I wash the mud off frequently, bugs of occasionally, and don't really give a about the stuck on dust. Its a dual sport after all. Dirty is its natural state!

Important mechanical bits? Probably 8 or so. Aesthetic stuff? 3-ish? if I wanted to make it pretty, a set of auchmarts fairings would probably be easier than trying to make the OEM stuff whole again. Plus, hey, color change!

Wet with hose, spray the whole bike down with Shout, let it set for 30 minutes in the shade, and pressure wash off. Try that. Even the hard to clean dirt that sets into the that texture on the hubs melts off.
