Wanted...old or non used bmx bikes.

I have been riding out at the rockstar bmx park and have been wanting to get old bikes to donate to the kids that show up with less than adequate bikes and gear.
I need old helmets, pads and even if you have bike parts we can probably price together or repair old bikes so we can donate them to the kids. I have already put in my own time and money for bikes. If you want you can just drop off your donation with the people working the front gate.

Solid idea.
When I lived in Dallas I would collect bikes that people were throwing away. In doing this I met a gentleman a few blocks over that was doing the same. He would repair them and when he had a large number of bikes he would ship them to Africa for the kids over there. I dunno how many bikes I repaired and donated to him over the years.
I'll keep my eyes open.

do you mess with adult size bmx bikes? ive gone to the park a few times on my 27.5er and it's fun, but awkward due to the big wheels.
also, i could donate my son's old bmx. it's a walmart bike, and its been sitting out, but you could have it. i'm sure it's worth something to a kid without a bike.

Big wheels usually make things a lot smoother. Adult size BMX bikes? I know there's a trend of people going to 22 in wheel size. I would just go with a dirt jumper or stick with my BMX

🤷*♂️ I have no idea. I do know I suck at turns lol

... but yeah, how would I go about donating my son's old bmx? I'm probably going to go for a ride tomorrow after work. I could bring the little bike with me.

Both the BMX and Skatepark are beyond my imagination as a child, such top notch facilities. Honestly cant believe the city built them.

IIRC it was to get these hooligan teenage PUNKS to quit skating and doing their kickflips and injecting their marijuanas downtown. the bmx thugs wanted their own park, so the honorable suits made a deal with rockstar. thats what all these kids are drinking these days, right? and now they're all wearing their skull t shirts and shotgunning rock star drinks and doing their ollies or whatever in a safe place, far from dignified folk.

i really cannot believe it actually happened. it's such a nice park! and very free!

You looking to donate it? I'm only trying to help out the kids. Adults can work for their own bikes. Lol

Where is this place? I just might show up, do a few old man barely verts, a few basic flatlanders, and "retire" my MOSH DJ III, to a young nubbin.

No brakes. No gyro. Handlebars cut short, crank arm, lightly strikes rear of frame. Stock Alex rims ( maybe double wall?) probably stock chain. Pushing 50. I was 26/27 when I got it. Send me a PM.

I am in need of 2 20in tires and 2 tubes. I have a bike I want to donate but it needs these parts first. Dont care what tires as long as they will work for a 20in at the park. Manly street.

Bro. Just saw this. My sons (2) left their old bmxers bikes out back. They have spent the last year outside so they are rusted and grips and seats and tires are shot but would be great for a youngster in need. Where would I take them? I live in Spring 99 and Gosling area..

This is cool. We'll have to try it out with the kiddos when we're back to Houston at the end of the year. I took all the bikes with me to donate to poor kids in Brazil while we live here for 2 years. Glad you're doing this for the kids.

I was up front working on the bikes to donate when two neighborhood kids came up and asked me about the bikes. I ended up letting them have them and we worked on them together to ride. Its good to see them pass by and have happy faces. They went to a good cause after all.
