Angry FED EX RANT

OMG!! How in the world can you deliver a package 130 MILES!!! Out of the way to residential area when in big bold print a name of a company is on the box??? Do drivers look at this before unloading a freight shipment?

So my company sends out a package to a place in Labadeiville LA 70372, somehow FED EX Delivers the package to Pass Christian MS 39571Ö So what do I do call FED EX to schedule a call tag for a pickup for return to our WHSE in HoustonÖ When the Fed Ex driver gets to MS the resident refuses pick up! WTF!?!?! These ppl are keeping merchandise that doesnít belong to them! Wow you really cant trust anyone, PLUS its not enough to file a police report on because its under a certain amount. It would cost more than the products are worth. So now I have to write up a loss and claim against FED EX for lost property. Ugh!!!! End of Rant

Tonyt any insight on this?? you work for them...

well...people make mistakes.
unless this is a recurring problem with fedex, i dont think its a big deal.
youre going to get paid by fedex, so the only thing youre out is time.
yeah that sucks, but hey-it happens.
everyone makes mistakes at work. it happens.

yeah they all suck. We do alot of work with DHL and UPS out here in Iraq and you would be suprised how some of the gets messed up. We got some cargo in that was manifested to kuwait and some how it ended up here in Iraq. Needless to say the air crew was when i refused the cargo.

well what gets me is that the people signed for it knowing good and well it didnt belong to them! How can you sign for something that is going to a totally different state??? are they that dumb??? what is really bad is that when the call back tag was going to be picked up someone else signed for refusal?

So i did a googling... Googled that stupid podunk road and its dirt!!! I know google isnt up to speed but still... Industrial Park vs Podunk Plus I did a reverse 411 on both of those ppl found phone numbers and address' within 1 mile of the address... I want my shipment back!!

It doesnt happen all the time and I am more than happier to us them but 130miles??? really??? Yes I filed a claim and took up with fed ex corp.. we are being issued a huge credit. Fed ex can deal with the rest of it.

I could help with more info, specifically I would need the tracking number. I will say instances like this are 90% customers fault for incorrect information. Usually when its our fault its like several
Houses down or same address wrong street. Also it depends which entity of fedex you dealt with. Express, Ground, or Home delivery
