First time growing out my beard and heard a lot of people condition. I searched online but there are so many options I don't know where to start. Anyone have brand/ product recommendations?

Most people produce enough natural oils.

When I let mine grow out I jsut wash it with shampoo.

Just shampoo doesn't cut it with big beards.

http://beardproducts.com/ is what I use, I've also heard good things about Honest Amish products. even burts bees will get the job done. Anything that is a wax type product will work well, but stay away from the conditioners that are a cream type product, all they do is dry you out.

I have had a beard for over 40 years, sometimes long, sometimes short...
all I have ever used is what i used on my hair...not much of a conditioner guy... leave that to the girly men.

Beard conditioner just sounds like such a contradiction in terms.

Seriously, any shampoo conditioner works for me. But i've only ever used that in order to keep the itch down during the first month. After that, I don't worry about it.

I used beard balm up to a few days ago before I shaved my beard off.

Beard oil is what I use. Even when it isn't real long. Keeps it soft. Make sure not to use too much. It will stain shirts.

I just use the shampoo or bar of soap that I happen to find in the shower. Biggest thing for me is keeping it combed so it doesn't get out of control. Took a little while to get it trained to all grow in the same direction. and i've had a beard for upwards of three plus years now
