This makes me happy. I think the 98 is one of the best looking R1 models, as it resembles the beautiful R7. Modern tech only makes it so much more awesome.

Yep.. Nice.. Use to own that model of R1 in those colors.. My very first liter bike.. The one bike I wish I still had.. Had its quirks (like the gas take that gouged you in the wrong spot if you were tucked over the tank and hit a bump) but it was a very neat bike and I still like the looks of it.. With that short a wheel base that thing would have issues keeping the front wheel on the ground. Good thing they were able to use electronics from new bike..
