Yes.... and you would have to test the repairs... and you wouldn't want to be illegal and ride it down the street. I think the track 10 minutes away would be the best place for this test.

I started this thread in the General section because I expect MNM @ Speedsportz to grow into a bigger event and allow a border spectrum of guests and riders. Post 10 has dash footage of the GP track.

it will be interesting to get the TMGP bike out, clean the carb and get it running.
The last time I rode it, I weighed 246 lbs... now I weigh 170 lbs... gonna seem like a whole new bike...have to check out the leathers and see how bad of a fit they are now....might need new leathers.
When I told the wife I was going to get the bike out and see what it would take to get it up and running, she asked which one... when I said the TMGP bike and not the CBR, she did not say anything...she did not even make a face when I told her about the track up the road..in fact, she said she had heard that there was "something like that up there".

sounds like it... now we just wait until she hears it running in the back yard...
likely will not have it ready for the 15th, but should be ready for the june day...
I will likely take it easy, while trying not to be a rolling road block for folks until I check out my balance...then if it feels right, I can start chasing folks...I always had to chase them, I was never fast enough to do otherwise.

ok, it is running....started up first kick after I remembered to choke it...
turned the choke off and it ran smooth...did a few laps around the back yard...
now I need to go thru it, do an oil change and redo the safety wire and catch bottle, etc....gives me hope that the other 8 bikes in the shop will run when I get to them....the 3 road bikes and the two dual sports are going to need batteries of course, but hopefully not much else. not sure which bike to tackle next, but as long as in the clean up mode, might as well try one or two more.

See you in June! Swapping street wheels on the CRF-50, then must find the kiddo a cheap used suite. To bad they can't run their MX gear...
