This is a rare find. Most are kept as museum pieces / collector bikes that aren't ridden much and need extensive mechanical rehab to be ridden routinely. This bike has had over 1800 miles put on it in the last year, 200 of which were done this last weekend. This is a beautiful example that can and should be ridden.
Approximately 255 produced Worldwide, estimated to be approximately 50 in the USA depending on various sources - do your own research to see what you find.
Engine is based on a 1991 Yamaha FZR 1000 Genesis 5 valve motor with EXUP but tuned to 145 HP.
MUCH lighter than a comparable FZR1000 (approximately 60 lbs lighter)
This bike underwent an extended and somewhat expensive rolling restoration by Harris Vincent Gallery within the last year/2,000 miles.
Bike is amazing and performs flawlessly. The carbs were gone through and tuned to provide excellent fueling. It starts immediately and runs as if it has fuel injection. It pulls like a freight train and handles exceptionally well.
The two piece bodywork was treated to $1750 restoration. A few spots were repaired from normal use and the rest of the body work was gone over and re cleared.
I am constantly receiving thumbs up and people wanting to discuss the bike when I ride it. It even won an award at Radwood for Raddest Motorcycle at the last Radwood event.
I love this bike, but it is time to move it on to the next person to ride, enjoy, and appreciate it.
Check Hagerty valuation tools and you will see it priced appropriately between a Concours and Excellent because it is actually ridden and enjoyed.
I am not looking for any trades, but might consider something unique/cool plus cash.
Thanks for your interest.
