White Smoke out of Exhaust

So I clean and repair kit the carb, cleaned the petcock, cleaned the tank, new oil and filter, and did valve clearance on my 95 Vulcan with 12,000 miles.
I'm super stoked to start her up for the first time!
She starts easy enough but after a bit white smokes starts pouring out of the exhaust and she's idling high. My petcock was leaking badly and with all the smoke I got nervous and shut her off. Smelled a little like burned oil but more like something else.
Oil is fine, no cream coffee. No coolant loss.
So what ya'll think? I'm very worried.

I would guess coolant, pull your spark plugs and that will tell you right away.

Good idea. Thanks, Gixxer.
Any other ideas?

Pulled the plugs and they're totally fine. No coolant, oil, dirt, nothing. Very slight smell of old gas.
I think it may have been old shmukus in the engine and pipes.
Started her again last night but only ran for about ten seconds then died. Ran really smooth and the idle seemed good and there was no smoke. Now she won't run...seems like it may be flooding and the throttle is getting stuck on the carb and front cylinder fins. Just weird.
