2nd floor I assume? I had the same issue...plumber wouldn't do it, tile guy said it was the plumbers job. They both me off and I found the perfect solution and gave me peace of mind regarding any future issues.

Paid a pretty penny for it, but gave me the confidence to do the job myself.

Then, when I got rediculous estimates for glass doors, I found a 3/8 "slider kit online for like $600 or $700 shipped to my door.

No regrets whatsoever.
