V-Strom 650 Triumph Sprint ST 1050 Moto Guzzi Breva 750ie |
Out with the old and in with the new
The Guzzi (breva v7) hit 55,000 miles this month. There is a reason they call it a tractor. With that said I decided it was time to see what else felt right. After a lot of searching enter a Triumph triple. Well there are a few to choose from and I happened on a nice low mileage Sprint ST.
Wow what a change. 1-No more struggling to push past 90(seriously I did hit the ton on that guzzi) 2-Instantly drew attention (from the Popo). Old habits die hard so I did not give him any reason to follow me for too long. 3-a brit started randomly talking to me 4-got a reaction from significant other (note, buy them something first before bring home a new toy) 5-chain drive a bit different power delivery than the shaft drive, but I will get used to it 6-a bit more forward leaning (can be corrected with risers) Can not wait to ride it now. Thanks to a few people for their input.-Pachuco,Patrick, Zipdot ![]() |

Did you keep the tractor as well? Nothing like having both a Triumph and Guzzi in the garage

Congrats! I had an '09 Sprint ST before the C14. The 1050 triple is one great motor. I like shafties but the driveline lash I can do without. Still have some Sprint ST farkles if you are interested.
