Thank you, Lars, Kieth, and anyone else I forgot to mention that help me get my bike started. I couldn't start up my bike when we stopped at the shell gas station off hwy6. It displayed a code 46 - low voltage and had check engine light.

I made it back home around ~11 after they helped me push start my bike. I didn't have any more luck trying to push start after the ride home, so I checked the battery, it was at ~10V. I went ahead and charged it to 13V. It started up after that and the code 46 and check engine light disappeared. The voltage went back down to 12.6-12.5V at idle, and with steady 5K RPM while in neutral it dropped to ~8V. Once I left off back to idle the voltage did drop slowly to 12.3-12.2V. I'm going to ride up&down my block tonight and check the battery to see if it charged or drained.

Does anyone know what might be the issue? THanks!

At least I got to run the 1st leg of the ride, so still a fun day nonetheless.

I had jumper cables in my bags and was going to ask if you needed them, but all the other friendly folks seemed like they had everything under control. Here's a long winded post about what might be going on!

If the voltage drops that low while revving (higher electrical load) it could be that either your regulator/rectifier or stator is weak or dead. The service manual for your bike should have a procedure for troubleshooting but if it doesn't, here's a generic procedure:

-get the bike started somehow and see if it runs at all without the battery connected. If it does, check the voltage at the battery cables while it's running. It should be a steady 12-14V. If not, well, your bike probably won't run.

-If it dies without the battery in, connect a strong battery and disconnect the output of the regulator/rectifier. Start the bike and check the voltage there. Should be a steady 12-14V. If not, it's either your R/R or the stator that's giving you issues.

-Disconnect the input to the regulator/rectifier (should have either two or three wires that are all the same color). Check continuity between each of those wires and a ground, none of them should read as shorted. Check continuity with each wire to another one of the wires, and at least one of them should read short. If any wire reads short to ground or open to all other wires, your stator is fried.

-Run the bike with the battery connected, input to R/R disconnected, and check the input voltage (AC) to the R/R, which is the stator output. You can read between any two wires. This voltage varies a lot between bikes, so expect to see 15ish volts at idle and 30-60 volts while revving. If you dont, stator is fried.

Also definitely get a new battery after fixing the electrical issues if present.

Also I had a lot of fun riding with Chris' group!

I took it out for a ride and stop for some food and rode it back and then noticed it was starting to run low on juice. Luckily, I got home before it died on me. While checking the voltage, read ~11V, I noticed the date etched off to the side on the battery 10-7-17. Could just be the battery, it’ll need to be replaced anyways... might just try that first.
