FKNA.... mad props brother.
Good timing, very nice cymbal set up.

Now all you need is that other bass drum!

I've always wanted to drum. Dont have the space or the money.
Next vid with your helmet on please!

I got this mapex 5 piece in good condition, from a friend with stands and symbols for 210$. I am eventually going to need new stands. And I want to go with double pedals once I get better.

SLAYER FTMFW. Period.

Dude, we got into Reign in Blood when I was in the 7th grade.
I started playing guitar and we did covers of South of Heaven and Mandatory Suicide (who didn't?)
When Seasons in the Abyss came out, we went and saw them live with Testament.

After that I lost interest in them. Was there anything good by them after that? I think they got a new drummer after Seasons.

Carrey is fckng awesome too.
If I had to choose a song to learn on drums now (or release on Rock Band) it would be Stinkfist.

just start slow. simple bass, snare beats. find a simple, slow song and use headphones to play along. right hand = high hats, left hand = snare, rt foot= bass, lft foot=high hat pedal.

1st thing, start with something simple and work on keeping a beat. A lot of wannabe drummers cant keep a beat! Then work on holding a conversation with someone while keeping your beat/rhythm. Have them give you words to spell out, ask questions that make you think. Keeping a steady rhythm will become 2nd nature, then you can concentrate more on fills and offbeats.

2 tough things for a lot of people:
Hi-hat foot to work independent of bass foot.
Bass foot to move faster/different rhythm than right hand.

not sure how lessons in drums really help.

i did learn several things in band with the snare, but alot of modern drums in music is just setting a tempo and keeping rythym.
