Moto Guzzi returning to Houston...

All,

This made my day. AF1 Racing in Austin told me today: Moto Guzzi has a new dealer coming for Houston. This will the third one in about the last 3-4 years. As an owner, and fan of the brand, this is wonderful. Also, check out this LA Times article on Moto Guzzi. The new V 85 TT is a hit: selling them faster than they can make them Piaggio engineering is finally fully impacting Luigi in Mandello del Lario. I have had my V7 III two years, and the reason I traded an older V7 for new was the much enhanced engine and transmission-- due to Piaggio influence. When Guzzi puts the new V85 engine into a V7 type frame: a phenomenal bike.

Molto Felice!

Who knows, maybe Aprilia with Guzzi as they are both Piaggio brands...?

Keeping my fingers crossed. Wouldn’t be half surprised if they opened up in the same building the previous two were in. ha!

We shall find out. Hope for both Guzzi and Aprilia... your Tuono will eventually need something... if Aprilia does come back, I may trade my MV for an Ape-- came close to buying the Ape originally anyway, went for the lighter MV... fingers crossed. I will sacrifice a Vestal Virgin at the alter of Mars and Mercury, and make pilgrimage to the seven sacred Hills.

You nailed it! Team X-treme: same location on SW Freeway as Italian Superbikes near Mancuso SW... Guzzi and Aprilia. This is good, I hope. I will ride down for a visit sometime soon. Anyone know them? Reputation?

I wonder who that got working on Moto Guzzi and Aprilia? As far as I’ve been able to tell, those techs aren’t exactly easy to come by.

I am going to ride my Guzzi V7 III Special in and talk to them, maybe Saturday morning and get my own opinions.

I contacted T-Extreme a week ago, they said their mechanic techs are "scheduled for Guzzi and Aprilia training, sometime in September". I have still not visited, been busy. Taking my Guzzi to Mike Haven at MPH in Katy soon for some maintenance and fix a dicey starter switch. Experience counts, so does reputation. I have been burned enough by poor dealers/mechanics. Time will tell. I hope they walk the talk. Grazie.

I stuck with Mike Haven at MPH in Houston for my Guzzi maintenance-- Mike is superb.
T.E. is not touching my blue Goose.

You seemed to be willing to consider Team Xtreme but then came back with a firm ‘no way!’ In your last post. Did something change your mind or push you to that decision?
