Bob Lunsford's Northwest Honda/Ducati

It's a sad day. We just learned that Northwest Honda is going out of business. Ronnie was a long time racer and supporter of the CMRA. Tough loss for the industry. Please support your local Motohouston sponsors!

Good people there.
Have spent a lot of time in there just shooting the breeze with the sales guys and owner, just talking about bikes and stuff.
Never any high pressure sales BS.

economy is hurting everyone..

Sucks but likely doesn't help he's in such a ghetto location. The traffic to get to and from that place is nuts also.

Agreed.
Not too many people buying $18K ducatis up here.
I think their service dept and ATV sales probably kept them alive this long.

haha...sorry man. The area is really busy though and as Scorpio just mentioned, the hood isn't exactly their prime clientele. (my guess)

I heard about it yesterday. What killed them was most likely how high their prices were on parts. That accompanied with bad economy and bike sales

I had done some parts/tire business with them in the past, as well as tried to buy a CB1000rr. After getting approved for the bike (no surprise) I had to back out due to outrageous insurance quotes ($6-11k a year...perfect driving record @ 23yo) I backed out. fast forward to last year and I went to talk to Brandon about getting a 450x to convert over. He literally told me to go get the WR instead, it was a better bike. Some people think that is sales but he genuinely wanted me, as a consumer, to have the better bike. Lord knows when the time for a Duc came I would have went and seen them. Sad to hear, for sure.

Man, talk about a loss.

We purchased my fiancée's Monster 696 used from them and had such a great experience that we went back a few months later for my new Monster 821.

Awesome staff and Ronnie is a genuine good guy.

Sad to hear. While although their parts may have been a "little" high.... they had them in stock every time I needed something.
If our economy keeps going the way it is; we will see more and more of this. People just don't have the disposable income they used to have.
Isn't socialism great!

I avoid 45 as much as possible. I'm guessing it'll be the next freeway they F-up in Houston.

Well that sucks. They usually have parts for my Ducati in stock. I haven't bought a new bike from them, but my dad did buy a brand new '83 TRX125 from them, back in the day.

I guess now my ducky parts will be online.
