The newer higher end models I believe can work as a repeater and as such communication distances can be greatly increased. I will check to see if older models have this feature.

I've got a 20S, but am unsure off the repeater function. If they did, we could string people together to run the whole length. I know it supports up to 8 people at once.

If I understand how the 20s works, it has the aforementioned feature. Unfortunately, the lower units do not. There is a new app from sena called ride connected that uses your phones data plan to allow communication over any distance as long as data is available. This works with at least some lower end units as well.

Keith, someone close to you will likely have a communicator if we decide to leverage this technology. Therefore, we can easily relay the message to you.

I would say to just have everyone spaced in one line vs staggered at all times. The leader places trusted one in rear. Then line up experience to non experience in the back.have one middle trusted rider to separate the group spacing if possible. Crazy being in group rides with newer less experience people not being able to ride staggered correctly. Just bypass that part. Only thing ya need to tell them is don't crash in the person in front of ya.

That one cbr had his bike for a month? In the fast group ?
