I am in. Just tell me which bike you want me to bring. The GS1000 is currently being resto-modded with first gen gsxr suspension and won't be available untilfirst week of June

with that said, updating to 17" wheels, inverted forks and an R1 shock made a tremendous difference in the handling department |

I wish I had known sooner that this was still a thing nowadays. Y’all should go check this out, I don’t want to be the only old-school sport rider there among a sea of cafe “racers”

Ok for those who actually ride their bikes and aren’t afraid of corners, I’m hosting a ride Sunday morning. It’s not a long route maybe 2 hours tops, but it’s all twisty back roads. I’m thinking KSU @ 9:30, meetup spot at HEB off 99 and Harlem road. I’m not entirely sure about doing the crab river run on the way back because last I heard there was construction, might be worth checking out depending on the group we have. Lunch remains TBD but I’m thinking Sammy’s for now

show of hands (or likes in this case) who would actually be interested in a meet-and-greet? I created this thread to get everyone together, not just post pictures

I had a 85 (86?) VF1000R, that a friend had given me ( w/title) I ended up selling it a few years later, to a really short guy, missing fingers, on both hands. Bragging about how he had wrecked every bike/car/truck he ever owned.
Had a bad feeling, but If I didn't NEED that money, I wouldn't had sold.( divorce) I'll see if I have a few surviving pics. Heavy bike, but O loved the bodywork. Hand laid fiberglass. Not ABS, or whatever made of today. |
