motorcycle roadside assistance?

i'm taking a trip to fredericksburg this weekend. does anyone have a recommendation for a roadside assistance program to sign up with in case i have any major mechanical issues i can't recover from?

i was going to do the ama thing but they take 2 weeks to process so i'd be paying out of pocket if anything happened this weekend.

I signed up for KOA RV Roadhelp, it covers my cars, motorcycle, trailers, and any vheicle I borrow. If you are towing a trailer they will send a tow for the tow vehicle and trailer.

If I remember you can sign up online and print your temporary card right then.

AAA btw you shouldn't have any mechanical issues with my old sv man!

+1 on AAA, I've used that on several occasions.

I also have used my Honda Rider's Club of America towing also.

don't know about motorcycles but look on the back of your license. there is a number at the bottom? of it for road side assistance if u are in texas.

yep on the back, you can get help anytime, also if you have cell take it if not find an old one and make sure its charged couse even if you have no service i beleave the 911 # still works i herd that some place !

have a good ride , that is a nice place

i have it on my cingular plan, but it sux. i had a flat while in san antonio about 10 miles from no where. Texlurch had a plug kit, but we had no way to air it up. i called my roadside assistance and i got "we dont offer air. we can change a tire for you if you like". i said "dude, im on a bike, all i need is air. your truck drivers dont carry a compressor or fix-a-flat or anything?". "no sir, we dont offer that package". CLICK. it isnt worthless tho, its saved my wife several times.

federal law i guess,
as long as the cell has power u can call 911. don't have to be in a service plan.
there is a program to donate your old phones and they are given to battered women i think it was
