There is a public parking lot on the corner of Rusk & San Jacinto , I think it is about $8.00 - $ 10.00 for all day parking.
They might have a monthly pass you can get .

The parking garage I think it was on Lamar between Travis and Milam at one point charged $50 a month for motorcycles had ground floor parking and you parked directly in front of the security officers booth, not sure if it has changed, it has been a while since I have been down there.

Thread back from the dead.

Read through this thread and decided to wing it. I've been riding the bus for a bit and got tired of turning my 15 minute commute into a 45 minute commute to save $75 per month in parking so I rode in this morning. I'm parked next to a few other bikes in front of the library. Pretty convenient if this works out!

The cop will eventually tell you to move your motorcycle, happens every year. My boss drives his white scooter in to work and parks it there. For some reason it is okay for moped/scooters and not actual motorcycles, have no idea why either.

Dang. Though, there was 2 white scooters and a Rebel 250. My SV dwarfs all of those things, though.

We'll see how long it takes.

I thought the alley theatre district parking was pretty tight these days. I went to a meeting at 611 Walker a few weeks ago and that garage was full since the lower levels were in ruins post flooding I guess. Plenty of parking places downtown for bikes....the key is finding a spot for FREE. Parking above Pappa's at Lamar and Smith is $3 every 20 minutes, not to exceed like $24 or $30/day I think... however, the bad part is, the visitor parking is on the 8th floor and up...takes 20 minutes just to park. lol

Let me get this straight.

30+ daily = $30 a day?

Parking alone you are throwing down 6 LARGE a year just for work? Assuming you do four day work week twice a month.

Um, the contract rate should only be approx. $150 - $200 per month.
