The Pace... please read.
Recently there has been much debate here regarding street riding and the speeds at which it's done. I'm very opinionated about this because I've had experiences that I pray none of you ever have to deal with. When I make my comments I don't try to pick fights (though some seem to think I do) I just try to get my opinion out there as there are always noobs reading here.
While we may have differences about how bikes should be ridden on the streets, we are all here because we ride. I ask that you read this and think about the lessons. There have been too many injuries and deaths here the past year because of inexperience and bad decisions. I'd hate to see that trend continue in 2006. The Pace |

I want to say the Pace originally came out in the early '90s, but maybe even before that.
Typically that's the way me and my group ride; we keep it a fairly constant speed, 85 - 95 mph average, 100 mph ceiling. We typically stay in 4th or 5th and rarely touch the brakes, if at all. It leaves us with a pretty good safety margin. Disclaimer: the speeds we ride work for us: we're all experienced riders / racers / track day junkies. Please ride whatever speed you're comfortable with and is within your skill set. Patrick |

Thanks for the reminder. I have to admit to more than once using the capabilities of the bike (on the straights) to make up for MY less then stellar capabilities in the corners, so I could stay with the group. Ego can be tough to control sometimes.
