Best Calendar App?

I need a good calendar on my Laptop that I can put some stuff to remind me I have to do it in the upcoming months to get rid of some papers on my desk. (EX: traffic court March 25th). What is the best FREE(or cheap) Application that integrates a calendar onto the screen without being too much of a nuisance.

I use Google Calendar https://www.google.com/calendar It's web based, and their some utilities that will run in your task bar for pop-up notifications. I also have it send me SMS msg for reminders.

https://www.30boxes.com I've heard good things about it, but I haven't tried it yet.

Thanks Arturo, but I'm looking for one that runs on the screen

But just out of curiosity, why do you want one that runs 'on the screen'?

I've seen a few screen shots of peoples calendars that kinda just run 24/7 on the right side of their monitor and mask theirselves in with the wallpaper. They seem pretty neat and easy to use. I want something that I don't have to actually GO to, to get my reminders. I wouldn't mind one that ran as a program but popped up on the days I have something important with a reminder.

That's generally how most of them work. With google, I can go to it to enter my appointments, but as I mentioned in the original post, there are utilities that run on your PC. They sit in the task bar and pop up notifications/reminders. Mine will let me enter new reminders from the task bar as well.

I get three reminders for my events from google, 1) email 2) pop-up on the desktop and 3) SMS message to the cell

If you had to go to it to get the reminders, it wouldn't be much of an app.

The problem with wallpaper, or something similar is that it is either static, or going to be covered while using the computer.

In that case I'll definately check it out, I love everything else by Google

Messing around with Google now and it seems pretty neat. My buddy just linked me to this and said he can get me the full version:

https://www.freedownloadscenter.com/B..._Calendar.html

I'm going to give Google a shot first though, thanks Arturo.
