Texas Hill Country trip 12-8-13

We headed out to the hill country for some riding this past weekend. my bosses dad has a house he rents out that is about 6 miles from leakey so we got a deal and decided to go. We left friday and headed back monday. It was cold as but sunday the sun came up and was about 55 out so it was by far the best day of riding out of the weekend.

We put in about 300 miles would of liked to do more but got kinda bummed after i got a ticket for 40 over. He was hidden pretty well but i got lucky that he only got me at 40 over. It was the 3rd time this year.

There was one other bike we saw cbr 600 out there and he was rolling with a corvette mr2 and a mustang. And that vette was fast. I got a few videos following the vette i put one on youtube i didnt get to edit im not the best at it sound sucks but the guy was anxious to see it.

Well for you that are interested here are a few pics and the link to the video. thanks for looking.

Nice. The roads all fixed? Post up more info on the rental house.. We go up there often. How big is the place and how much.

Thanks guys. The recently paved roads sucked tons of gravel. Was still a good ride though. The house he rents is mainly a hunting thing like a package deal.None of the locals like motorcycles I think he just made an acception. I'm waiting on an email back to see if we are welcome back if so I can see what he thinks about me spreading the word to other riders. Respectful riders that is. Bit its a 3 bed 2 bath sleeps 6 with a 2 car garage and cable tv. Awesome set up. And I might of got the homie hook up due to working for his son. But when I find out more ill let ya know.

I get that EXACT same sound on my 650r. I think it's actually the camera/case... but haven't done anything to test/fix it.

At the end of the video I pull over that's because he lit me up. He was hiding on the right after the right hand sweeper after the big hill. He said that people that live in the hills on 337 use radio down to the store in Vanderbilt and if there is a cop chilling he goes and waits for us. I'd turn around before that if yall go. Mabye turn around at the look out point.

Thats why I use alternate routes from Leakey to Bandera. He has been working that stretch of 337 for years.
