meh. Not really a super well written or thought out piece IMO.

"Harley's fastest motorcycle, the Sportster, isn't anywhere near deserving of its name. There is no "sport" to the Sportster, and with a 883cc engine..."
WTF? Does this guy really think an 883 sportster is harleys fastest bike?

Pretty good read (albeit misinformed), until it got to the point where the author started rambling...either way, I agree with what he has to say about Harleys (for the most part) even though I am a proud owner

true sir..but i believe the point is that the Japanese don't mind admitting that.

while im not bashing harley (and i DO like the batrod) i agree with the guys point on the odd mindset harley riders can have (sport bike riders have thier own up-ness too, mind you) and lack of new tech that that harley contributes to the market.

I don't see why cooperation between an American company and a foreign company is a huge catastrophe. If it's better than what we have now, why not use it? Or at least try to learn from someone who currently has it better than us?

i rode MX and then sbikes a long time and i loveeed to ride them all... however, i hated the typical "ohhh im so fast i can drag knee" dbag attitude 9 out of 10 sbike riders have.

Then i felt like riding something different and bought a harley. Needless to say i love riding that thing but now bikenite turned into halloween with all the dressed up dbags out there... and the "ooohhh we're so louuuddd and FTW"

there are idiots on both camps.

morale of the story. Ride what you will, love it and shut up.

True...but there are a ton (actual unit of measurement overseas) of douchebags (did I spell that right?) with sportbikes. I think motorcycling in general has a lot of douchebags. It's like when I used to skate, I hated other skaters. 99% of them are degenerate douchebags. Same with bikes. I've especially noticed it now that I got this CBR a few weeks. The douchebags have come out of the woodwork like cockroaches and feel the need to come up to me and tell me about their high speed exploits and cop chases and freeway wheelies and ask me what kind of jacket and gloves I'm wearing. What kind of jacket do I have on...what are you a teenage girl? Dude I'm just trying to get a pack of smokes. For sake, this thing seems to attract nothing but douchebags. I wonder if there is some sort of like bug spray I could use to keep them at bay...oh wait...pepper spray.
