medical records

question for the ppl here, my lawyer needs the medical records pertaining to the accident ya know surgery and what not

the doctor wanna charge my lawyer 200 for the records

isnt supose to be free for me? i mean i already pay for the whole thing

isnt she supose to give me a copy free of charge upon request?

i'm pretty sure you sould be able to take the records from the doctors office for free

when they see you in person, looking like your about to explode with anger, you may have better luck.

If you are asking them to make copies and send them somewhere, I can see them charging you, but not 200 unless they gotta duplicate some crazy thinks I can't think of.

yeah i will say is for my record keeping. yeah that charged me 25 buck for a single page fax

now you see how she is and she is a biker too

Yep they can charge outrageous fees for things like that. My doc charged me 30 bucks each to fill out a simple form for my Aflac insurance.

I usually say that I am going out of the country for several months and need copies of everyting. Sure it's a lie, but it works very well.

If they don't send them to me via mail, I show up at their office and offer to go get the records myself.
