Is it possible??

..for a rec/reg to kill new batteries in two or three days while the bike sits without being ridden?

the bike in question is a 09 kawasaki ninja 600 basically stock. no neons or hids or phone chargers or alarms.

Sounds like a short somewhere or something left on. I've never heard of a battery dying that quickly.

Yes, if the diodes/scr's are shorted.

i plan on testing for amp draw later tonight. if i remember right you can hook in between the negative cable and negative battery post to find how much the draw is , then start pulling fuses - disconnect circuits one at a time to find where the issue is.


I didnt know a bad rec/reg could murder a brand new battery in a day or two just sitting in garage with key not even in ignition.
