New Car Smell

How do I get rid of new car smell? I bought a Kia Soul yesterday and the smell is making me very sick. I want to be able to drive my car without headaches and puking.

This is the first time I've heard of someone not liking "new car smell." Sorry for your troubles, as I have no idea how to get rid of it.

Ride around with the Windows down for the while. I too don't like the smell, had the same "problem" in my fiesta, but rolling the Windows down will work.

I am not pregnant, and I'm not super sensitive to smells either. I had a new scion two years ago and didnt have this problem. This car has an extremely strong smell though.

Every part that isn't steel is a petroleum product. Best bet is to leave the windows cracked as much as possible and let the materials breath

Bought my wife a Hyundai Tuscon ... same thing. Very strong new car smell. Go get take out ... ride with the windows down ... armoral the dash ... get a different smell car scent from autozone. it will take a few weeks but it will die down.

Buy an ozonator to actually pull the odors out. The larger units for home are very expensive but I have seen smaller 12V units for cars. Just research the model first as I wouldnt trust the cheapo Ebay Chinese units to actually be an ozonator.
