Very good job bro, I've been around cooler radios for 10 years and have NEVER seen a final product look like a factory install from the outside. I think the grizzly grip was a good idea on the top, really seal the deal for me. Just a tip for those of you without a battery charger. . .after a long day on the river, or whenever the battery needs more juice, just run jumper cables from your car/truck battery to the radio battery and start the car and let it idle for a little while. The alternator should charge the battery rather quickly. This isn't the best way to charge a battery, sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do!!! Once again, nice job, you should be proud of that, I know I would be.

Well, I wouldn't watch a movie while rafting ... but certainly when you pull over to a river bank for the night, wouldn't you want to watch Deliverance or something?

On the Guadalupe the novelty has already worn off for the people who live along the river. I read they are working on banning loud radios in ice chests on the river.
They not love you long time.

Excellent job done with the construction and the end product achieved. It looks like it'll last a while and you'll have many hours of jams.

Yeah I've seen this hillbilly one time on the Frio River with a bada$$ setup. It was a tube with a plastic floor on the bottom. He had a Tripod out of square tubing sittin up in the Tube. He had 3, 5-Gallon buckets with a sub cut out in each one with the open end capped with a lid and then a Stereo/Amp storage in between all the buckets. The buckets were set up where they pointed different dirrections around the tri-pod on the tube. Freakin awesome and loud as

good job on the install!!! ive benn wanting to do that but cant justify the cost right now!

i did the same thing just on a smaller scale......used 2 6.5 marine grade speakers and a small motorcycle amp....just used a phone as an MP3 player. put a cigarete lighter plug on the side to charge the phone and use a solar pannel for a charge when not in the river......think it ran for about 15 hours with the smallest battery from wallmart with no charge!
the lights were just an after thought but effective mood lighting!!
and yes everything was water tight and my buddy floated it down the river. everyone had their keys wallets and dry towels inthere and was perfectly fine when they got done.

So does anyone have a drill press? I need to drill a few holes into an axle I've concocted but haven't the tools to get the job done. The guy up at Ace quit trying after busting 5 different drill bits. It's steel so it can be a task...
