Things that suck at work, your work, my work any work

Someone calls for help 15 min before the end of the day to ask me if I can complete some task...before their 9am meeting tomorrow.

When a manager forces us to go to a lunch and learn, but dosn't pay for lunch.

When a manager tries to make everyone on time on monday by having an 8am meeting.

When a manager keeps everyone around on friday for a 4pm meeting.

When a manager is a big fat that is as round as Agustus Gloop after she turns into a giant blueberry.

When patients call and just give me their first name like I know who the fk they are.

When I go see patients at their house and they refuse to turn on their ac. I don't wanna sweat in a button down and slacks.

When my patients sign up for services and then refuse to see you. You were the one asking for help, not me.

When my patients make appointments and then don't show up.

When my patients call to tell me they're phone died. From the same phone number.... I have caller ID too!

Patients telling me their medication is really helping and they feel a lot better when the pharmacy says they never picked up their prescription.

The bad:
When things have been slow for so long it makes you start wondering where to go next.

When some of the office HVAC units go to and they haven't been fixed in over a month.

Knowing any other employer would likely come with a sizable pay cut making my option to ride this baby to the bottom and hope for the best.

The spoiled:
When my personal office is warmer than the a/c in the office.

When the big cheese cancels the cable service to my office TV and when the TV breaks even when not being used.

I'm home officed and love my job.

To the OP, yeah I've had "that manager" before. her and move on. Life is too short and your skills are too much in demand to put up with that petty bullshit.

I know. The left the company I work for. Then my company sent me to go consult at the place where he went, and he is the guy I report to again.

He me over big time when he was my team lead.

Always has something to complain about, never a good word.

I could hang the stupid moon and he would find some reason to complain.

I find him sleeping in his desk, he looks like he is dead. Maybe one of these days he will be...

I'm working on getting out, believe me....

Amen to that. Lol

My only real complaint is too much work and not enough hours in a day to meet deadlines. Could be worse, no job at all.

My complaint is with the IRS, they Tax our job bonuses 37%. that.

Actual at work complaint, the women around here keep the office too cold and their nipples get hard. It makes me stare.

The worst part of my job is that I have to go there everyday AND I have to be on time. What's unbelievable is, as though all that wasn't enough, they actually expect me to work when I get there. .. bastards.

Machine shops trying to pull the wool over my eyes, but I'm onto them.

Women in a position they don't understand.

Lazy NDE technicians.

Writing 30 pages of reports a week.

Working 40 hours a week and billing 80, oh wait that's a plus.

Just women in that position or men, too, huhhh? Heh.
Gah đang, 30 pgs is a lot. Hope there are general things u can copy n paste from the week before.

When patients press the call bell when u just left their room 5-10 mins ago. Ask for everything at the same time, gaah.

When daddies wont change the newborns diaper when mommy just delivered, has had her tummy carved open and countless sutures sewing her back to human form or stretched to its limit, been up every 2 hrs to breast feed n been up every other hour to pump breast milk.
Inconsiderate, non-loving, useless, lazy men.

When ur company no longer allows month long vacations and caps it at 2 weeks

When ur company used to have 10 paid holidays and now only has 3 - thanksgiving day, christmas day n new years day.

When ur company raises ur health insurance premium and deductible but lowers ur coverage. I blame Obama.

My biggest pet peeve is when I have to put on my HR hat and coddle people to reduce infighting and those that are unhappy over petty things. Spent an hour at lunch yesterday talking a 300 lb man off a ledge because he felt that people were being short with him. Made him take a vacation because he looked like he was going to start crying. Why can't people just do their job and leave their emotions at home. Everybody takes everything personally.

That drives me nuts! Everyone has problems. . .Leave that at the door on your way in to work and pick it up on your way home!
